Senior Designer Men’s-Boy’s Tek Gear & Men’s FLX 2014 - 2017
Provide design leadership for Men’s-Boy’s Active Design Team driving consistent positive results in seasonal fabric & trim development, color palette creation, design concept, product ideation, product development and product assortment. Responsible for design voice in cross-functional collaborations to preserve design vision and product development execution. Overachieving company mandate for sustainability by converting Men’s-Boy’s Tek Gear to 90% sustainable in one year (2019 - 2020). Encourage own design team to learn and participate in 3D design by providing access to Browzwear. Raw material development point person for new brand FLX Men’s during the new brand conception (2019). Assumed control of FLX Men’s design and development responsibilities in Spring 2020 for inaugural Spring 2021 season. Accountable for talent management & development on Men’s-Boy’s Active Design team to ensure continuous talent utilization, new skill acquisition and employment retention. Mentor cross-functional team members on fabric and garment knowledge to maintain design and product integrity. Provided design leadership for Men’s-Boy’s Sleepwear & Accessories design team. Mentored Associate Designer for skill and personal growth to manage the department effectively. Revamped Sleepwear aesthetics to be more brand appropriate resulting in brand clarity.
Men’s Fila Sport & Fila Outlet 2015 - 2019
Assumed design responsibilities for Men’s Fila Sport in 2015 following a successful first year in Tek Gear. Provided design leadership to redefine Men’s File Sport aesthetics with more relevance in Performance apparel products to revive the brand. Awarded Fila Outlet design responsibilities in 2016. Provided design leadership to establish Fila Outlet brand consisting of Performance and Heritage lines. Successfully developed and mentored Assistant Designers to promotions in less than 24 months.
Helix & Urban Pipeline Brands for Young Men’s-Boy’s 2012 – 2014
Redefined Helix brand for more relevance. Established design presence to enable internal product design & development. Provided design leadership for UP denim and bottoms relaunch. Collaborated with DVP of Denim R&D to incorporate denim washes & dry-process into the line.
Men’s Outerwear & Roughwear Ralph Lauren Black Label - Consultant 2011
Established design support for Fall/Holiday 2012 outerwear development season reporting to Senior Design Director. Collaborated with Senior Design Director on technical construction of outerwear styles.
Senior Designer Men’s Knits 2010 - 2011
Arrived at the company as part of design team restructure to relaunch the brand. Reintroduced core & fashion programs to reestablish the knit business particularly the polo shirt programs. Collaborated with VP of Design to ideate and develop fashion heritage direction.
Senior Designer Men’s Casual 2009 - 2010
Provided design leadership for Men’s Casual design team. Collaborated with Senior Director of Men’s Design to ideate and develop programs for Canvas brand launch. Established new woven shirt programs for Lands’ End to strengthen core business. Revived fleece programs by introducing fashion basic programs. Developed new washes to establish and expand Canvas denim programs. Mentored and coached Men’s Casual Design team for fabric knowledge, garment design development and workload management skill.
