Senior Materials Manager of Research & Development for Men's, Women's & Kid's Active at Kohl's  2021 - present

Proposed the creation of a new R&D Active Materials position to support Active Design teams with seasonal new fabric developments. Collaborate with Trend Team on seasonal active trends to establish new materials direction. Collaborate with Design Teams on seasonal fabric development directions. Engage with fabric mills on developments of seasonal fabrics as well as resolving construction, technical and price challenges of fabric developments. Abet Design Teams to resolve seasonal materials challenges to address newness and affordability.

Senior Designer Men’s-Boy’s Tek Gear & Men’s FLX  2014 - 2021

Provided design leadership for Men’s-Boy’s Active Design Team driving consistent positive results in seasonal fabric & trim development, color palette creation, design concept, product ideation, product development and product assortment. Responsible for design voice in cross-functional collaborations to preserve design vision and product development execution. Overachieving company mandate for sustainability by converting Men’s-Boy’s Tek Gear to 90% sustainable in one year (2019 - 2020). Encouraged design team to learn and participate in 3D design by providing access to Browzwear. Raw material development point person for new brand FLX Men’s during the new brand conception (2019). Assumed control of FLX Men’s design and development responsibilities in Spring 2020 for inaugural Spring 2021 season. Accountable for talent management & development on Men’s-Boy’s Active Design team to ensure continuous talent utilization, new skill acquisition and employment retention. Mentored cross-functional team members on fabric and garment knowledge to maintain design and product integrity. Consistently managed effective seasonal inspirational and development travels including budget & schedules to ensure success of seasonal development.
